Switzerland

Let me start by saying that any city in Switzerland is gorgeous and will provide plenty of beautiful scenery and opportunities to indulge in great food and some very cool shopping experience.

Transportation:
Due to its central location in Europe and well-developed infrastructure traveling inside Switzerland and to any other European destination is pretty easy. Most European capitals are within 2-3 hours from Zurich by plane. There's really no need to rent a car when traveling to Switzerland. The Swiss have their public transportation system down to a science. The trains are on time down to the second.

Scenery:
Rolling hills, well-fed cows grazing the lush green fields or the majestic Swiss Alps. Switzerland indeed has some of the most incredible scenery in Europe. Matterhorn in Zermatt has been named the most photographed mountain in the world and it towers over the border between Switzerland and Italy. Train journey to Jungfraujoch, ("Top of Europe") with an observation terrace at 3,454 meters is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must visit.

Activities:
The country is great for outdoor activities all year round. Winter sports include skiing and snowboarding and when it's not winter there's hiking and paragliding along with biking and of course walking. Yes, skiing or hiking in the Alps is one of those bucket list items for many.

Food:
Swiss food is fresh and much less likely to contain preservatives and other artificial ingredients in the food. Talking about food how can I miss sweet temptations. World famous Lindt & Sprüngli is headquartered in Kilchberg, the small town just outside of Zurich. If you can resist those beautifully displayed truffles, cakes, and macarons you are a stronger person than I ever will be :)

Interlaken is a fantastic base for seeing the best of central Switzerland's magnificent scenery while enjoying the comforts of a chic lakeside resort
Tourist attractions are all around it, with boat tours on Lakes Thun and Brienz at either side of the town, and thrilling train and funicular rides to the spectacular surrounding mountain peaks
Interlaken is one of the oldest, best known, and most popular summer holiday resorts in Switzerland

The most characteristic sight in Lucerne is the Kapellbrücke, a covered wooden bridge running diagonally across the Reuss. Apart from being a picturesque centerpiece for Lucerne

Picturesque Grindelwald is a glacier village in the Jungfrau region, which makes a great base for adventures into the surrounding mountains
